Built around one thing: staircases.
Jacksonville Floating Stairs was started because floating staircase work keeps getting handed off to general contractors who treat it as an add-on. We only do stairs. That focus is the whole point.
Eight years building floating stairs in Northeast Florida. Nothing else.
We started in Jacksonville when a client showed us a cantilevered staircase that a general contractor had installed without proper anchor calculations. It looked fine. Then it started deflecting. We rebuilt it, stamped it, and got it through Duval County inspection. That project became the template for everything we do now.
Northeast Florida has a specific set of challenges: subtropical humidity, salt air along the beaches, and a building department that's particular about cantilevered systems. We know these conditions well. Every material choice, every anchor spec, and every finish we recommend is tested against what Jacksonville's climate actually does to stairs over a decade.
How we work.
Structural First
We don't start with aesthetics. We start with load paths, anchor capacity, and code compliance. The beauty follows.
Northeast Florida Expertise
We know Duval County plan review, St. Johns County code, and what Northeast Florida humidity does to materials over a decade.
Site-Specific Engineering
No two homes are identical. We measure, model, and engineer every staircase to the actual conditions of your specific property.
Written Accountability
Our on-time guarantee isn't a sales pitch. It's a contract clause with a financial penalty. We mean it.
Long-Term Support
Annual inspections, anchor re-torquing, and priority scheduling — because the relationship doesn't end at project handoff.
Clear Documentation
Every load calculation, material spec, and permit drawing is shared with you. You own the project — you should understand it.
Licensed, certified, and accountable.
